White River Jct., VT – Jason Curtis Wheeler, 47, died unexpectedly due to heart failure on Friday March 15, 2019 at home in White River Jct.

He was born June 25, 1971 in Lebanon , NH the son of Curtis and Phyllis (Powers) Wheeler.  Jason spent his early years in Hartland where he attended elementary school before the family moved to White River Jct. where he has lived since.  He graduated from Hartford High School Class of 1989 where he played on the baseball team. In his free time he enjoyed playing men's league softball and was fondly known as "Wheels".

After high school Jason became a locksmith, working with Colonial Locksmith in West Lebanon. He later changed his career to carpentry and woodworking, most recently working as a carpenter for Tim Maxham Jr in Hartland.

Jason started his family in 2003 with the birth of his son, Abraham.  And then 2 years later with the birth of his twin girls, Lillian and Maria. His children were the most important part of his life. He always looked forward to attending their games and other events, he loved them with all his heart and he in turn was greatly loved.

Jason will be remembered as a hardworking man with a quiet, gentle soul, a big heart and quick wit.   He was always willing to help his family no matter the task.

Jason leaves his son, Abraham Jason Wheeler, twin daughters Maria Elizabeth and Lillian Kay Wheeler all of White River Jct.; his parents Curtis and Phyllis Wheeler of West Lebanon; his sister Sherri Wheeler Perkins and husband Michael, of White River Jct., and his sister, Lisa Wheeler Gray and husband John of Randolph Center , VT as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  Family was everything.

A funeral service will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., Wednesday March 20, 2019 at 10AM.
