BELLOWS FALLS, VT

Janice Palmer-Hill, 56, a resident of Bellows Falls and formerly of Wilder, passed away tragically in an automobile accident on Sunday evening, July 17 in Windsor.

She was born October, 1, 1954 in Lebanon, NH the daughter of Elwin P. and Miriam (Guyer) Hill. She grew up in South Strafford. She attended Newton School and graduated from South Royalton High School in 1972. She married Richard "Mike" Luce on November 11, 1972. They were later divorced. She was employed as a court clerk at the Windsor County Courthouse for over fifteen years. Janice was a legal secretary for various attorneys in the Upper Valley. She was also an avid horsewoman and throughout her life loved horses and riding. While she was married to Mike Luce she worked with and alongside him on the Luce Farm. Janice loved her family and enjoyed getting together as often as possible. She was a loving person with a big heart. She loved a good story and a funny joke. Throughout all Janice's trials in life, she kept a smile on her face and an open heart.

She was predeceased by her parents and one brother, Gary E. Hill.

Janice is survived by her three children, Angela L. Walker and her husband, Joe, Matthew A. Luce and his wife, Leslie, and Michael E. Luce, one sister, Brenda H. Rodewald, one sister-in-law, Mary H. Hill, several nieces and nephews, and her ex-husband, Mike Luce and five grandchildren.

A celebration of Janice's life will be held Friday, July 22nd at noon at the Luce Farm in White River Jct., VT. Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. assisted with the arrangements.
