White River Junction, VT- Janet E. Valley, 69, died unexpectedly Friday, July 11, 2014 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

She was born August 9, 1944 in Waterbury, CT, the a daughter of John F. and Evelyn (DeLong)Danaher. She graduated from Hartford High School in White River Junction VT class of 1962. She was married to Clifton D. Valley in 1965 at St. Anthony's Church in White River Junction. She work as a teachers aide at the Hartford Elementary for a time, as a secretary with her husband at Clif's Place a metal fabrication shop, Hartford High School and Hanover High School before retiring in 2008.

Janet had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and was always up to go to a yard sale, where she could find valuable treasures.

She is predeceased by her husband Clifton Valley, a brother John Danaher, and her father John F. Danaher.

She is survived by a son David Valley of White River Junction, a daughter Michelle Noyes and her husband Stacy of Piermont, seven grandchildren: Danny, Lauren, Jen, Merry, DJ, Wendy, and Nicole;two brothers, Michael Danaher and his wife Yvonne of Royalton, VT, Patrick Danaher and his wife Colleen of Boston, MA, a sister Denise LeHane of Buffalo, NY, mother Evelyn Danaher of White River Jct., VT; two granddogs: Gottie and Tootsie; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction from 5-7PM immediately followed by a memorial service at the funeral home.
