Obituary

Janet Louise (Barr) Senna, 84, died peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2016 in Springfield Vermont.

Janet was born on March 26, 1932 to Harvey and Dorothy (Herrick) Barr of Reading, Vermont. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1950 and spent her life devoted to her family and friends. Janet worked throughout her life as a bookkeeper and in her later years as a care giver for the elderly. She enjoyed living at home in Reading with her eldest son, Tom. She also enjoyed being a homemaker and spent time gardening and birdwatching.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Senna (1989) and brothers Johnny Barr, Warren Barr, David Barr and sister, Phyllis Legac. She is survived by her children, Tom Wyman of Reading, VT, Carl Wyman of Perkinsville, VT, Ellen (John) Martin of Springfield, VT and Jane (Steven) Jackson of Oak Hill, VA. She leaves 11 grandchildren, Tom, Jr., Gus, Christine, Veronica, Seth, Jaime, Tiffany, Johnny, Orion, Adrea and Steven, Jr. and 9 great-grandchildren, Angela, Isabella, Caleb, Bella, Taiga, Rio, Kai, Olivia and AJ; a sister, Rhonda Barr (Tracy Wolters) of Hardwick, VT and Hobe Sound, FL and brother Michael (Ginny) Barr of Reading, VT.

Visiting hours will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT on Friday, November 4th from 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 5th at 11AM at the Brownsville Community Church with a reception to follow. A private committal service will be held by the family at Cavendish Cemetery at a later time.
