Janet Bagonzi aka Giana Bergonzi died peacefully at North Country Hospital in Newport, Vt. on sun. Sept.20, 2010 after battling COPD for an extensive period of time. At her side were her brother John Bagonzi and sister in law, Dreamer Bagonzi.

She was born in Woodsville, N.H. on June 3, 1934 to John Bagonzi and Ida (Maccini)Bagonzi. Janet went to Woodsville High School and was a member of the famed "Litz Lassies"{Lois Litz coach} basketball team as an all league guard. After graduation she went to New York University where she studied art and did sculpturing in clay and wood. she operated a book store and also managed Bagonzi's restaurant at the outset upon the death of her mother for a while. She was well read , and had a lot of interests and talents. She impressed her friends at Greystone village, White River Junction. VT, where she lived for an extended period of time with her generosity, with expertise in genealogy, precise record keeping, helpfulness to others, and a dear friend to many.

She is survived by her brother John and his wife Dreamer and their children John III, Teresa, and Robert. She is also survived by numerous cousins and their family.
