Obituary
Walpole, NH – Jane M. Phipps, 83, died Sunday September 6th at Keene Center Genesis Eldercare in Keene, NH.
She was born February 24, 1927 in Hanover, NH daughter of Alson and Dorothy (Densmore) Mills. She graduated from Hartford High School and later from Keene Teaching School. She taught school at Walpole Academy for a time before she was married to William I. Phipps in 1952. They lived in Walpole all their married lives where she worked with him at Hubbard Farms. Mr. Phipps died in 2001.
Mrs. Phipps was an active member and past president of the Post 77 American Legion Auxiliary in Walpole, active in Girls State, and a past member and boardmember of the Monadnock Humane Society.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Jane Skofield and her husband Herm of Walpole as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held Friday September 10th at 2PM at the Christian Street Cemetery in Wilder, VT.
