Ascutney, Vermont - James "Jim" H. Riendeau, of Woodstock, age 70, died on Friday, May 7, 2021, at his home away from home, surrounded by his family and friends in Ascutney. He was born on December 18, 1950, in Taunton, Massachusetts to Arthur and Margaret (Blaisdell) Riendeau.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Thompson Riendeau of Woodstock; three children, Jennifer, Christian, and Samantha Riendeau; two stepchildren, Pat LaFond and Sue Hietner; several grandchildren and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Gary, Bruce, and Hollis.

A committal service with military honors will be held at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph at a later date.
