Windsor, Vermont – James "Jim" H. Lucarelli, 91, died on Friday, February 4, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and guardian cat at his home in Windsor. He was born on July 28, 1930, in Windsor to Peter and Virginia (Delveccio) Lucarelli.  Jim served as a radio operator in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War aboard the USS Mount Olympus, an amphibious force command ship. After returning home, he married Patricia Morse on February 14, 1953, in Windsor. Over nearly seven decades of marriage, they had adventures, faced tragedy, supported one another, and loved one another. They enjoyed traveling all over the world, sometimes for Jim's job with Goodyear as a shoe products designer, and sometimes just for fun. They built a home together, ran a farm with registered Polled Hereford cattle and horses, and enjoyed a home on the water of Mascoma Lake. But Windsor and Brownsville were always home and he enjoyed his time hunting for deer and the company of his fellow Knights of Columbus in Windsor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Janet Lucarelli; and three siblings, John and Piermo Lucarelli and Nellie Dow.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lucarelli of Windsor; four children, Jeffrey Lucarelli and wife Jean of Claremont, New Hampshire, Julie Hall and husband Larry of Croydon, New Hampshire, Jay Lucarelli and wife Tracy of Argyle, New York, and Jackie Lucarelli of Cour d'Alene, Idaho; six grandchildren, Jayson, Jeremy, Jeffrey, Hillary, Jenny, and Anthony; eleven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Windsor. Memorial donations are appreciated to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
