Canaan, NH – James Edward Martin, 63, died Thursday afternoon, December 14, 2023, surrounded by family, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Jim was born August 15, 1960, the son of Paul and Roberta (McEachiarn) Martin. Jim lived in Vermont for a time before his family moved to Canaan, NH. He attended Mascoma High School and then went to work for Lozeau Insulation before he started his career at New Hampshire Industries.

Jim was very handy. He was an extremely hard worker and always busy around their home. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, camping, hunting, and woodworking. Most of all he loved taking care of his family. Jim has struggled with poor health for the last several years and it has really taken a toll on him, but nothing compared to what he and Terri went through when they lost their daughter, Nikki, in 2018. Jim and Terri along with the help of their son, Jeremy, have been raising Maci and Arabelle, Nikki's two beautiful daughters.

Jim was predeceased by his daughter, Nikki Martin, and a sister, Shirley Martin. He is survived by his beloved wife, Terri, his son, Jeremy Martin of Canaan, NH, daughter, Krista Martin also of Canaan, NH, grandchildren, a sister, Camela Castendyke of Florida as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held later in the springtime in the Wells Cemetery in Canaan, NH.
