Hartland, VT- James Michael Barber, 54, died Monday, April 27, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

James was born April 26, 1966 in Claremont, NH, a son of Michael and Donna (Durphey) Barber. He graduated from Windsor High School class of 1984. James started a building company where he worked as a carpenter before going to work for PCG Machine Shop, Manufacturing in Hartland, VT where he has worked for the past thirty years.  James was married to the love of his life Tracey L. Dodson on 9/11/99, they made their home in Hartland. He was so happy to have the opportunity to help raise his two step sons.

In James's younger years he was an avid skier. He loved to Race Street Stock Cars at the Claremont Speedway. He was fond of the great outdoors and loved to snowmobile with the Hartland Hill Hoppers, hunt and fish or sneak in nine holes at the Claremont Country Club.

James is predeceased by his father Michael.

He is survived by his wife Tracey of Hartland; step sons Jacob Barton and Louis Pinault of Massachusetts; his mother Donna Barber of Hartland; a brother Tom Barber of Cornish, NH; grandchildren, nieces and nephew.
