Enfield, NH- Jacquelyn Louise Young, 79, died Monday, February 22, 2021 in Inverness, Florida.
Jackie was born July 7, 1941, the beloved daughter of Reginald & Dorothy (Parker) Robinson. She grew up in Hartford, Vermont and graduated from Hartford High School in 1959. She worked at Dartmouth College as an Event Coordinator for 25 years before retiring in 2004.
She married Roger Ellis Young in 1961 and then moved to Key West, Florida where they lived for 3 years. They came back to New England where they settled and made their home in Enfield, New Hampshire raising their 2 children. Jackie and Roger spent their summers at Crescent Campsites in Canaan, New Hampshire, where they have camped since 1973, and spent their winters in Floral City, Florida.
Jackie and her husband enjoyed dancing and started the Foggy Mountain Cloggers dance group in 1984. They performed many shows throughout New England over the 22 years the group existed. She also enjoyed doing ceramics, knitting, crocheting and painting.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents and her brother David. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roger; her children: Debbie Young-Messer and husband, Lowell Messer of Lebanon, and Roger Young, Jr. and wife, Cyndi of Lebanon; brother, George Robinson and wife Judy of Sharon, VT; grandchildren: Josh Emerson, Heather Venegas, Keely Young and Jessica Young; plus 7 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service in the West Lebanon Cemetery is scheduled for later this spring. Knight Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Condolences to Jackie's family may be made in an online guestbook found at www.knightfuneralhomes.com .
