Hartford, VT- Jacob Clayton Moodie, 15, passed away June 15, 2013 in Hartford, VT.

He was born October 16, 1997 in Lebanon, NH, the son of David and Aprille (Abbott) Moodie. He spent most of his younger childhood years in Windsor, VT. He attended Windsor High School but was currently at his new school Mt. Prospect in Bradford, VT. He was a straight A student and was proud of his accomplishments throughout his report card. Jacob was loving to all of his friends and family. He was strong when times were rough and always looked forward. At a young age Jacob was mature for his age. At 11 he volunteered at a local bike shop in Windsor. He enjoyed fixing things like old bikes and lawn mowers. His father owned a chimney business and in his free time during weekends or in-service days he would help with masonry work and chimney repairs. During family events Jacob would tell funny jokes, or be silly himself. He also loved to go fishing, play football, hunting and most of all ride bikes. He loved the outdoors and you would never catch him indoors. No matter how difficult Jacob would always tell the truth, whether it is telling you looked stupid or saying he thought you looked gorgeous. Each week he would have drawn a new picture, wrote a new song or come up with a new trick on his bike. Jacob was devoted to his family and friends. He would have done anything to protect them. Jacob holds a huge place in each and every person's heart that he has ever met, the moment you met him you would've loved him. He is a great, handsome, strong and most of all an inspiration to everyone.

He is survived by his parents Aprille and David Moodie; siblings Mariah Marsh, Breanna Moodie, Tyler Moodie, Erika Abbott, and Clayton Abbott; his grandparents Donna and Harrison Abbott; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation will be held Thursday, June 20 from 6-8PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction. A memorial service will be held Friday at 10AM at the funeral home.
