WEST WINDSOR, VT
Jacob S. Hammond, 23, a resident of West Windsor, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, March 16 at the Mt. Ascutney Hospital Emergency Department in Windsor.
He was born June 14, 1987 in Claremont, NH the son of Scott R. and Patricia A. (Buchanan) Hammond. He received his schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 2006. He later attended school in Hartford where he studied to become a licensed electrician. Jacob loved the outdoors, enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, fishing and walking in the woods. He was fond of spending time on the family farm on Hammond Hill in West Windsor. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends.
Survivors include his parents, Scott and Patricia Hammond, one brother, Ryan Hammond, two sisters, Marissa L. Becker and Molly R. Hammond, and one very special nephew, Isaac Becker, all of West Windsor, his maternal great grandmother, Margaret Buchanan of Windsor, his maternal grandparents, William and Cheryl Buchanan of Claremont, his paternal grandparents, Ronald and Shirley Hammond of West Windsor, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Jacob's life will be held Sunday, March 20 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Story Memorial Hall in Brownsville. A private committal service will be held at the convenience of his family at a later date.
