Fairlee, VT – Ivy Marie Tabor, 83, of Fairlee, died with her husband by her side on the morning of Sunday, September 11, 2022. She was born on May 21, 1939, at home to Earl Durkee and Pearl (nee Judd) Durkee in Sharon, Vermont. She graduated as Valedictorian of the South Royalton Class of 1957 and went on to earn an associate's medical degree at Becker College in 1959. She worked for many years as a medical secretary at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. In 1959, Ivy married Raymond Tabor and they had four children. In 1983, she married Peter Rogers and welcomed four stepchildren into her life.

Ivy and Peter successfully ran the Tabor-Rogers Insurance Agency until their retirement in 1997. Ivy held the designation of Certified Insurance Counselor. She loved to RV and spend time at the camp they owned at Little Averill Lake, was active with the Farilee Community Church of Christ, and was part of the Tres Dias team which first started over in NY. She enjoyed the sound of the ocean and feeling the sand and water on her feet while walking hand in hand with Peter on the beach.

She is survived by her husband, Peter Rogers of Fairlee; four children, Shari Collins of Royalton, VT, Randall (Magda) Tabor of Yorktown, VA, Debra (Ken) Manion of Franklinton, NC, and Kati (Brian) Mullan of Raleigh, NC; four stepchildren, Lisa (Tony) Delgato of Bethel, VT, Laura (Rod) McClay of Sharon, VT, Linda (Ken) Gilbert of White River Jct., VT, and Leslie (Mark) Begin of Stockbridge, VT; one brother, Mark (Ginny) Durkee of Chelsea, VT; two sisters Sylvia Walker of Worcester, VT and Dottie Moody of Indiana; nineteeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren who she adored; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Emma Rikert, a son-in-law, Bill Collins, and a grandson, Sr. Airman Seth Tabor.

Ivy will be missed by many and all are invited to a remembrance service at the Fairlee Community Church of Christ on Sunday, September 25, 2022, from 12 to 2:30 pm. A burial of will be held privately at the Vermont Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Randolph and memorial donations are appreciated to the Church.
