Obituary

Woodstock, VT-Isabelle J. Young died on Sunday, February 12 at Cottage Hospital in Woodsville, NH.

She was born on December 24, 1929 in Pomfret, VT the daughter of Byron and May Cole. She attended school in Pomfret and Woodstock.

On June 29, 1963 she married Marshall Young. Isabelle worked at the Woodstock Resorts, including the Country Club and the Inn as a Chef. She also worked at the Woodstock Elementary School as a crossing guard and one on one aid. She was a very hard worker, and put in many long hours to help support her family.

Isabelle enjoyed embroidering and quilting, especially when she was creating something for her family. She was also a life long Red Sox fan, and was looking forward to the upcoming season. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Sally Emerson of South Ryegate, VT, Ethan Jillson of Grand Isle, VT, Rose Swift of Lebanon, NH, Robert Young of Warren, VT and Donna Young of South Royalton, VT. She is also survived by her sister Natalie Wheeler of Florida, 12 grandchildren and 2 step grandsons, 11 great grandchildren and 1 step great grandson, many nieces and nephews.

She was predeased by her husband on March 21, 2010, her daughter Sandra DeLong on February 5, 2000, her grandson, Daniel Somerville on December 2, 1993 and her seven brothers and 2 sisters.

There will be a graveside service in the Prosper Cemetery in Woodstock, VT, in the Spring. The Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT has been entrusted with arrangements.
