Obituary

WILLIAMSTOWN, VT - Irving Clyde Paronto passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, Oct. 23, at the VA Medical Center in White River Junction.

Born October 1, 1931, to the late Clyde and Violet Paronto, he grew up in Walden and Corinth Vermont.

He joined the Army and served in the Korean War and received an honorable, medical discharge along with two purple hearts and a silver star.

He married Janice Lezer on August 8, 1955. They enjoyed traveling together and enjoyed three trips to Alaska following their retirement.

He was a machinist and mechanic by trade but his life centered around his family. He also welcomed all of his children and grandchildren's friends into the family and would help anyone in need.

Upon his retirement, he spent summers in Vermont and winters in Scottsmoor, Florida. While in Florida he enjoyed attending auctions and participating in his local church. While in Vermont, he enjoyed his lifelong passion for hunting and fishing, spending time with family, telling stories and attending his local church in Vermont.

In addition to his wife, Irving is survived by his four children, Deborah Tremblay and her husband Russell of Williamstown, David and wife Pamala, of Barre, Jeffrey and wife Susan of West Corinth, and Scott and wife Jane of Williamstown. He also is survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, five sisters and his brother. He is predeceased by his parents and two brothers.

Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside service, at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 1st at the East Corinth Cemetery, followed by a time of food and fellowship at Faith Community Church, 30 Jones Brothers Way, Barre, Vermont.
