White River Junction, VT – Iola R. Hoisington, 93, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Brookside Nursing Home in Wilder, VT.
Iola was born February 27, 1921 in Windsor, VT, a daughter of Edward and Ila (Spaulding) Rawson. She graduated from Windsor High School class of 1939 and furthered her education at the Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing in Boston, MA for a year. She was then married to Henry Fuller for thirty years, after they were divorced she finished her nursing school at Thompson School for Practical Nursing in Brattleboro, VT. She was later employed at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover for 20 years retiring in 1990. She lived in Windsor until 1972 when she moved to West Lebanon, NH then White River Junction. Iola was married to Francis E Hoisington September 10, 1983 until his death November 25, 2002.
She is survived by son Lawrence Fuller of Niceville, FL; two daughters Margaret F. Neily and Cynthia Fuller both of Windsor; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren
Visiting hours will be held from 3-5PM Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 13, at 11 AM at the funeral home followed by burial in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor.
