Windsor, VT - Hugh Leonard Duling, 92,  a life long resident of Windsor, died Monday, October 7, 2019 at his home in Windsor, VT.

Hugh was born June 1, 1927 in Windsor, VT a son of Hugh T. and Cecelia (Doherty)  Duling. He attended Windsor High School. He joined the US Navy and served his country during WWII aboard the USS Missouri and was present on board in Tokyo Bay during the Japanese Surrender Ceremony. He returned to Windsor and started a Painting and Wall Paper business that he operated for many years to come. Married to Pauline (Polly) Burke Duling From August 30, 1968 - July 2, 1971 they were later divorced, he was married to Charlotte (Sargent) Walker on September 2, 1981 until her passing in 2000.

Hugh loved to travel and spent time in Ireland and England. He loved to spend time with his family sharing his life experiences.

He is predeceased by five siblings Mary "Mame", Francis, John "Mike",   Theresa, Theodore "Teddy" a niece Terri Lou, a nephew Jeff, two step daughters, Denise (Raymond) Buchanan and Janet (Raymond) Davis.

He is survived by Charlotte's children; Sheryl Raymond of Fairfield, IA, Jeff Raymond from Derry, NH, Jesse Walker of Windsor, Tracy Walker of Forrest, VA and Scott Walker of Thetford, VT, Polly's children, Judith Burke of White River Junction, VT, Beverly Burke of  Leesburge, FL, Dwight Burke who was a very close friend of Windsor and Pamela Burk of Leeburge, FL,several nieces, nephews, countless grandchildren and even a few great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT from 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Saturday  at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Windsor at 10AM. Burial will be held at the Ascutney Cemetery Monday at 10:30am.
