Howard Ryan

Howard Ryan passed peacefully on November 3, 2026, in Windsor, VT. Born in Moretown, Vermont on February 28, 1929, to Herman and Irene (Belisle) Ryan, Howard received his elementary education in a one room schoolhouse in Moretown, then attended Montpelier High School. He left school in 1947 but later in life received his GED diploma.

Howard was employed by Bryant Grinder in Springfield, Vermont as a Machinist for 40 years until his retirement in 1990. Hobbies included deer hunting and old cars.

Howard was predeceased by Dorothy, his wife of 75 years, as well as a special brother, Lyle. Howard is survived by his sons, Wayne and his wife Colleen of Saranac, NY and Mike and his wife Lynn of Colorado. He is also survived by his Grandsons, David, Matthew, Duncan, and Nathan and their wives and children.

Interment will be in Berlin Corners Cemetery at the family’s discretion. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local Humane Society.
