North Hartland, Vermont

Helen W. White, 80, died October 30, 2012, at her home.

She was born September29, 1932 in Hanover, NH a daughter of Raymond and Helen (Eastman) Wyman. They lived in Brownsville until she was six when they moved to North Hartland. She graduated from Hartford High School class of 1950. Helen was married to Raymond White October 8, 1950 they moved to Burlington, VT and then West Hartford, CT for a time. In 1957 they moved back to the family farm and took over the family turkey farm and started a dairy herd. Helen raised her family in the barn she was as involved with the daily operations of the farm as she was with taking care of the family. In later years they wintered in the Deland, FL for eleven years. Helen and Raymond retired in 1991, and they stayed there at the farm. Raymond died March 13, 2002.

Helen was an active member of the North Hartland Community Church. She kept her home open to all that wished to visit never turning anyone away with an empty stomach. She enjoyed selling Helen's Figurines, she was a wonderful seamstress, a skilled baker, an artist of many mediums including tole painting and stained glass. But her greatest joy came from riding in her golf cart and mowing her lawn.

She is predeceased by a son Rodney White, a brother John H. Wyman and her twin sister Ellen Robison.

She is survived by a son David White and his wife Debbie of North Hartland two grandsons Daniel A. White and Matthew D. White and his wife Heather; a great-grandson Henry R. White, friend Walter Morancy and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 3rd at 2pm at the North Hartland Community Church. Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction assisted with the arrangements.
