WINDSOR, VT
Helen Stockwell, 62, a resident of Windsor, passed away Sunday morning, November 2 at her home in Windsor.
She was born May 17, 1952 in South London, England the daughter of Sydney and Eva Maria Gertrude (Moorcock) Williamson. She received her schooling and attended Culinary College in London. She moved to the United States in 1981 residing in Plainfield, NH and remarried and had her daughter, Hannah McMinn. She loved to cook, and enjoyed drawing, knitting and sewing. She also worked hard as a gardener and caretaker for twenty five years. She was most recently employed as a LNA at Cedar Hill Healthcare Center in Windsor.
Helen always welcomed people into her home and was extremely generous. She was married to Jason Stockwell and they resided in Windsor. She continued gardening and her precision and genuine care shined through everything she did. She eventually retired and kept her spiritual faith through her tough times. Helen was extremely honest, caring and genuine.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Jason Stockwell of Windsor, two daughters, Samantha Handley and her husband, Simon of London, England, and Hannah McMinn of Windsor, VT, one son, James Hardiman and his wife Fionna of London, three grandchildren, Benjamin Handley, Nathaniel Hardiman and Penny Hardiman all of London, two brothers, John Williamson and David Fenoren, two sisters, Lyn Clifford and Anne Haffenden, all of London, several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 8 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Ascutney, VT. Bishop Bernard Ferland will officiate. Committal services and blessing of the grave will follow in the Ascutney Cemetery in Windsor. A reception for family and friends will follow at the church.
The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor has been entrusted with the arrangements.
