Ascutney, VT- Helen C. Smith, 90, November 8, 2020 died peacefully at her home with her sons by her side.

Helen grew up in Queens and Brooklyn, NY. She met the love of her life, Jack, while working a summer job at a restaurant in Bayville. They got married and raised two sons. Helen was a working mom whose various jobs included waitress, cook, postal worker, and she also found time to go to nursing school, where she graduated as a licensed practical nurse. Helen continued to work until she retired and settled in Vermont. She loved to cook, loved all of her family and friends, always had a positive outlook, and always wanted the best for everyone. She will be dearly missed.

She is predeceased by her husband Jack. She is survived by her sons and their wives Michael and Pam and Tom and Connie. She is also survived by a host of extended family members and friends.

Helen will be interred next to her late husband, Jack. Knight Funeral Home in Windsor assisted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com .
