Helen E. Mitchell, 94, a resident of Hartland, VT and a former longtime resident of Fairfield Harbor, NC, passed away Friday morning, November 6 in Windsor, VT.
She was born September 6, 1921 in Kent, OH the daughter of Henry J. and Ethel (Ford) Strawbridge. Helen was an avid golfer and swimmer. She was predeceased by her husband, Rex Mitchell in 2004, and by one brother and five sisters.
Survivors include one son, John D. Mitchell and his wife, Linda of Hartland, VT, one grandson, John H. Mitchell of Guilford, CT, three step grandchildren and one step great grandson, many nieces and nephews.
Committal services will be at the convenience of the family in the family plot in Kent, OH.
The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT assisted with the arrangements.
