Lebanon, NH- Helen E. Smith, 96, died Wednesday, January 18 ^th , 2023, at Genesis Health Center in Lebanon after a long illness.

She was born in Norwich on October 26, 1926, the daughter of C. Byron and Florence (Fisher) Smith. She grew up on the family farm and attended Norwich schools.

She was a longtime resident of Graystone Village in White River Jct., where she enjoyed watching the birds come to her feeders. Helen could often be seen walking to the local store and offering greetings to neighbors. She was a prolific correspondent with friends and relatives near and far. Helen was always glad to help one in need and spent much of her life aiding others. At Genesis, she was known for her ready smile and outgoing personality.

She was predeceased by her parents, and her siblings: her brothers, Richard and Howard, her sisters, Barbara, Florence, Edna, Mary, Ruth, Annie, and Dorothy. She is survived by several nieces and nephews as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.
