Canaan, NH – Heather J. Billingham, 44 died unexpectedly, Wednesday morning, September 23 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center after suffering an apparent heart attack while doing her school bus route in Hanover, NH.
Heather was born November 27, 1975 in Lebanon, NH the daughter of Walter George Jr. and the late Rita (Grace) Batchelor. She grew up in White River Jct., VT and graduated from Hartford High School in 1994. She went on to further her education at The Community College of Vermont where she received her Associate Degree in Business.
She married her lifelong friend, Elvery Joel "Joey" Billingham, April 29,2016 in Canaan, NH. They made their home in Canaan for the past four years.
Heather, for the past five years, has driven school bus for Student Transportation America. Her regular route was in Hanover, NH. She loved the children as if they were her own and they adored and respected her.
Heather enjoyed going to the Bradford races on Saturday nights with Joey, camping, bowling, cardmaking, quilling and spending time with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her mom, Rita Batchelor who died in 2015, also grandparents, Alfred and Lois Grace and Walter and Addie George.
She is survived by her husband, Joey Billingham of Canaan, NH, her father, Walter L. George Jr. and his Wife Martha of Enfield, Step Father, Brian Batchelor of White River, a son, two daughters and step children, her sister, Cindy Billingham and her husband, Charlie of Corinth, VT; step brother, Jim Adams and family of Canaan; Step Sister, Julie Adams and Family of Lebanon, her closest niece, Chelsey Roy and her two Children of Corinth. She was also survived by aunts, uncles cousins and cherished friends.
Visiting hours will be held from 5-7pm, Friday October 23, 2020 at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction. Per Vermont Law: Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed, when the funeral home meets capacity you may expect to wait at the door.
A Celebration of Heather's Life will be held at a later date.
