WILDER, VERMONT-

Harriett M. LaBelle, 95, a life time resident of Wilder, died September 23, 2010 at the Brookside Nursing Home in Wilder, Vermont.

She was born December 7, 1914 in Hanover, New Hampshire the daughter of Edwin and Harriett (Stevens) Grant. She attended the Wilder School and Hartford High School. She was married to Edgar L. "Pat" LaBelle February 27, 1933 at St. Anthony's Church in White River Junction. She stayed at home to raise her family, later going to work at Dartmouth Printing as a binder for 27 years retiring in December 1977.

She was a Member of the Wilder Home Demonstration Club and the Wilder Grange that later merged with Norwich Grange.

She is predeceased by her husband Pat LaBelle in 2001;a daughter Rose Marie West in 2007, three brothers, Lester Grant, Ray Grant and Chester Grant; four sisters Anna Ricker, Lydia Slocum, Ruth Gray, and Ramona Welch.

She is survived by: a son Edgar LaBelle Jr. of Jacksonville, Florida; two daughters, Barbara Ann Bellavance of Wilder, and Patricia May Jones of Swanton, Vermont; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother Allyn Grant of Sun City, California

Friends may call Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction from 1-2PM followed by a service at 2PM interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in White River Junction.
