White River Jct., VT – Gwendolyn R. Smith, 50, died Tuesday evening, January 29, 2013 at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was born March 3, 1962 in Concord, MA the daughter of David and Barbara (Meister) Rossbach. Gwen graduated from high school in Ipswich, MA in 1980. She worked in Hotel management for most of her career, first in Massachusetts and then more recently at the Residence Inn in Lebanon, NH. Gwen married Alan G. Smith on May 10, 2003 in Randolph, VT. They have lived in White River Jct. for the past ten years.

Gwendolyn loved photography, traveling to San Francisco and spending time with her friends at Salisbury Beach. She also loved her two dogs, Julius and Colbey.

She is survived by her husband, Alan, a step son, Alex Smith of White River Jct., daughter, Bethany Damon of Massachusetts, her father, David of Nashua, NH, three brothers, Jeff Rossbach of Nashua, NH, Marshall Rossbach of California, David Rossbach Jr. of North Carolina, three nephews, Aden, Forrest, Joshua, and niece Krystal.
Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT Monday evening from 7-8:30PM. A memorial service will be held at 8:30PM immediatley following the calling hours.
