Windsor, VT- Grace E. Barrows, 86, of Windsor, VT died on Saturday February 18 at the Mt Ascutney Hospital and Health Care Center in Windsor.

Grace was born on June 6 1925 in Hartland, VT, the daughter of Ivan and Gladys (Huntington) Simonds. She grew up in Hartland, VT. She married William C Barrows Sr. in November, 1945. Grace worked as a Piece Worker for Goodyear in Windsor for 22 years before leaving to spend more time with her family. She was a longtime member of the American Legion Post #25 Auxiliary in Windsor, VT.

Grace taught her self to knit and crochet, which were her favorite hobbies. She especially loved making things for her children and grandchildren. Grace was devoted to her family, and loved to talk to them all on the telephone.

She is predeceased by her husband William and her brother Ivan Simonds.

Grace is survived by a son, Bill Barrows of Perkinsville, VT, two daughters Betty Connolly of Windsor, VT and Barbara Churchill of Ascutney, VT, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, a brother, Robert Simonds of Ascutney, VT, and two sisters, Ruth Barrows of Ludlow, VT and Lillian Hodgdon of Cornish, NH.

A time for friends and family to gather will take place on Saturday February 25 from 1-3PM at her daughter Betty's home, 73 Kennedy Dr., Windsor, VT. Burial will be in the spring at the convenience of the family. The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT assisted with arrangements.
