West Windsor, VT –Gordon "Gordy" L. Johnson, 68, died Thursday, October 31, 2019 at his home.

Gordy was born August 22, 1951 in Windsor, VT to Ralph and Edith (Pinson) Johnson. He graduated from Windsor High School class of 1970. While in high School he worked at Mt Ascutney on the Ski tow. After high School he worked at Wiggins Lumber for a time. During this time he served on the Vermont National Guard. He started a carpentry business just before marrying Krista Hammond in 1974.  Gordy loved to work and only retired after becoming ill.

Gordy enjoyed farming and has Sugared his whole life.

He is predeceased by his father Ralph Johnson.

Gordy is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Krista Johnson;  his children Jonathan Johnson of Windsor, Lisa Mattoon and husband Scott of Newbury, VT, Shirley Johnson of Windsor, Chris Maheu of Ascutney, VT, five grandchildren, Amber, Alex, Krystal, Jordan and Kaitlyn, mother Edith Johnson of West Windsor, siblings Frank and his wife Rose Taggart of Pahrump, NV , Cathy Archibald, Gloria Farnsworth and her husband Robert all of West Windsor.

A visiting hour will be held Monday, November 4 at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor from 1-2pm immediately followed by a memorial service at 2pm. Burial will be in the Sheddsville Cemetery in West Windsor. Condolences may be expressed in an online guestbook at www.knightfuneralhomes.com .
