Gloria Ann "Teeny" Kennett, also known as Little Buffalo Woman, died on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at her home in Windsor, in the presence of her loving son and caregiver, Lone Wolf Cheyenne. She passed away peacefully in her sleep.
She was born in Claremont, NH on January 25, 1944, the daughter of Gordon and Irene Kennett. She attended school in Charlestown, NH. She was previously employed at the Lake Morey Inn as kitchen staff for many years. She loved fishing, feeding the wild birds, and tending her many farm animals and house pets. She also loved working in her flower gardens.
She is survived by her six children: Tina May Race and husband, William of West Fairlee, VT; Daniel Coburn and wife, Joeanne of Corinth, VT; Tina Louise Labor of Newbury, VT; Michael Coburn and wife, Amy of Corinth, VT; Cindy Tilden and husband, Wayne of Vershire, VT; and Lone Wolf Cheyenne of Windsor, VT. She is also survived by four brothers, Donald Kennett of Claremont, NH; Wayne Kennett and wife, Bobby; Wendel Kennett and wife, Shirley; and James Kennett and wife, Nancy, all from Charlestown, NH; two sisters, Ramona Sweat of Newbury, VT; and Dale McGiven of Westminster, VT. She had many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Terry Kennett and by three sisters, Elaine Laboun, Judy Colburn, and Bonnie Daily.
There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, February 4th, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the East Corinth Congregational Church in East Corinth, VT. Donations in memory of Gloria may be made to Ramona Sweat, 4916 Swamp Rd., Newbury, VT 05051.
