Wilder, VT – Glennis Bartlett (Thurston), died on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Cedar Hill in Windsor, VT at the age of 88. She was born April 3, 1934, in St. Johnsbury, VT to Oliver A. and Florence (Thompson) Thurston. In 1952 she married Forrest Bartlett and together they had four children. Glennis worked many jobs over the years and retired in 1996 from the VA Medical Center in White River Junction; but her favorite job of all time was being Grammie to her four grandchildren, and what an excellent Grammie she was! She loved spending time with her family and friends, and was a skilled crossword, cryptogram, scrabble, and other game solver.

She is survived by her four children, Darrel Bartlett of East Thetford, VT, Bernard Bartlett and wife, Barbara of Wilder, VT, René Bartlett of West Hartford, VT, and Dawn Mead and husband, Stephen of White River Junction, VT; two sisters, Beverly Mandigo of Newport, NH and Phyllis Kruse of South Woodstock, VT; four grandchildren, Amanda Bartlett of Wilder, VT, Davis Bartlett of W. Newfield, ME, Jacob Bartlett of Limerick, ME, and Molly Mead of Austin, TX; several cousins, nephews and nieces, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Oliver J. Thurston.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at 4 pm in the West Hartford Cemetery. A reception will follow at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in White River Jct.
