IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Gladys F.
Lee
February 15, 1932 – February 28, 2021
Gladys F. Lee (Quaid), 89, of Claremont, died on Sunday, February 28, 2021, in Claremont. She was born in Manchester, New Hampshire on February 15, 1932, to Donald and Lillian (Webber) Quaid. Gladys was married to Raymond W. Lee on April 30, 1983, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Windsor after the death of her first husband, Charles A. Vivian in 1980. She retired from Goodyear in Windsor after a 33-year career and made the best of her many years of retirement! She and Ray were inseparable, spending their time dancing, wintering in Florida for 25 years, and camping at Lake Dunmore and Tippicanoe Campground on Rand Pond during the summer months, many times accompanied by family and friends. She loved to keep busy at home reading and creating many wonderful and unique crafts. Most of all, it was the time spent with her beloved family that she cherished.
She is survived by her husband Ray of Claremont; five children, Chuck Vivian and wife Carol of Ascutney, Darlene Thompson and husband Chris of Sunapee, New Hampshire, Richard Vivian and Vicki of Windsor, Michael Vivian and Barb Shambo of Windsor, and David Vivian and Lisa Peltier of Claremont; step-daughter, Pamela Ruedemann of Connecticut; thirteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, first husband, two brothers, John and Richard Quaid, and one step-son, Raymond Lee, Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Knight Funeral Home, Windsor and interment will follow at Ascutney Cemetery.
