Quechee, VT- Geraldine E. Cyr, 81, died Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative & Hospice Care at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

She was born October 29, 1937 a daughter of John and Rose (Micelli) D'Arcangelo in Milford, MA. She graduated from Milford High School class of 1955. In 1976 she moved with her family to the Upper Valley. Gerry was instrumental in founding David's House in Lebanon, NH, following the death of her young son David. She worked for a time at the fish market in Woodstock before going to work at Genesis Health and Rehab in Lebanon. For fifteen years she worked at Shaw's in West Lebanon before retiring.

Gerry loved to cook, she would do it for anyone and everyone. In her younger years she would sew her own clothes and would make quilts and blankets for babies, she was also talented at crochet and enjoyed doing puzzles.

Gerry is predeceased by her father and  two sons David and Ronald Cyr. She is survived by a son Richard Cyr, Jr. of Quechee; two grandchildren Nicholas Kellogg and Jennifer Ianiello; mother Rose Cyr of Georgetown, MA; sister Roberta Grover of Haverhill, MA; and two nieces and two nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction, VT Saturday, December 22 from 5-6pm immediately followed by a funeral service at 6pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date.
