George C. Poland, 87, died Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Genesis Eldercare in Lebanon, NH.

He was born May 7, 1933 in Hanover, NH, son of Glendon and Hazel (Gaudette) Poland. George grew up in Enfield, NH where he worked with his father on the family farm. He was married to Norma Merrill at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in White River Jct. in September of 1967. They lived in Plainfield for many years where George was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department. Mrs. Poland died in 1997 and George lived in White River Jct., VT for many years since until becoming a resident at Lebanon Center Eldercare.

George was a past member of the Montcalm Grange in Enfield Center.

He was predeceased by his wife, two brothers: Richard and William Poland, and a sister, Gail Bowers.
