White River Junction, VT – George O. Belisle died after a long illness on Sunday, September 8, 2024. For his 61 years, George's life experience was broad and included many ups and downs. He was the oldest of his siblings and spent his early life in Vermont, but he spent time in various other places through the years, eventually again settling down in White River Junction when his health forced him to slow down. Some of his happiest years were spent in Maine, working as a skilled carpenter putting the finishing touches on yachts and large boats.

He is survived by a daughter Angelina Matos; his mother Gertrude Harris; three siblings, Mark Belisle, John Belisle, and Sandy Jones; two grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Belisle.

His family will honor his wishes for his cremated remains to be scattered off the coast of Maine and in his memory have requested that memorial donations be made to Bayada Hospice.
