Of Scottish descent, Geoffrey Sinclair Ross was born in Norwalk, CT in 1952 to Edmund and Barbara Ross, and grew up in the home where the Raggedy Anne & Andy stories originated. Perhaps that is one of the reasons why he was a person who loved to learn, write, educate and help others. Beginning his academic career at George Washington University, in Washington D.C., Geoffrey continued his education drawing upon life experiences. He loved to read and write. He was passionate and self educated in subjects ranging from physics and science, to theology.
An entrepreneur at core, he started a recording studio in Wallingford, CT and booked such talents as Jefferson Star Ship. He went on to run a small airline company out of Hilton Head North Carolina. This accomplishment garnered Geoffrey recognition on the cover of Venture Capital Magazine. He then established and operated a lease finance company in Kennelon, New Jersey. For the last 20 years Geoffrey ran a bi-state regional chamber of commerce welcoming new businesses to the Upper Valley and making available benefits such as insurance and dental programs to members. With enjoyment in cooking, reading, writing, British comedies, Sci-fi and classical music, Geoffrey's passion for life and great sense of humor will always be remembered.
Geoffrey was predeceased by his mother, and his sisters, Sarah Gourley and Margaret Waida.
He is survived by his father, Edmund of E. Norwalk, CT, sister, Tamson Arnold of Punta Gorda, FL, son, Ian G. Ross of West Lebanon, NH and loving granddaughter, Thea, daughter Katharine (Ross) Pero of WRJ, VT and loving grandchildren, Rowan and Yasmini.
