Gary K. Potter
White River Jct., VT – Gary K. Potter, 63, died Monday January 25th at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
He was born May 19, 1946 in Hanover, NH a son of Kenneth W. and Genevieve (Freeman) Potter. He attended school in Quechee and after graduating from high school began working at Aher's Store in Hartford Village. He later went to work at P&C in White River Jct. where he worked as produce manager until retiring.
Gary was an avid hunter, fisherman and BINGO player. He loved kids and animals and especially enjoyed time with his great nieces and nephews.
He was an a member of the Hartford B.P.O.Elks Lodge 1541, the Hartford Rod and Gun Club and the Sons of the American Legion in White River Jct., VT.
He was predeceased by his father and is survived by his mother and six brothers and sisters, Bryan Potter of Columbus, GA, Neil Potter and his wife Jane of Hartford, Corinne Cutherbertson and her husband Earl of Canaan, NH, Carmen Gentry and her husband Jack of Murfreesboro, TN, Jay Potter and his wife Denise of Pomfret, VT and Brady Potter of White River Jct. as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at the North Pomfret Congregational Church Friday at 1PM with burial following in the Hewittville Cemetery also in Pomfret.
