Windsor, Vermont – Gary L. Morse, 68, died Friday, December 13, at Elmwood Center in Claremont, NH.  He was born December 5, 1951 in Windsor, VT the son of Earl F. and Evelyn (Spaulding) Morse.

He grew up in Windsor, VT and attended Windsor High School.  Before he graduated he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam as a medic.  During his working career he worked at Claremont Paper Mill in Claremont, NH, Cone-Blanchard Machine Tool Company in Windsor, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Windsor, VT, and Green Mountain Metal Company also in Windsor, VT.

He was forced to retire when he was diagnosed with PTSD and was classified as 100% disabled through the Veterans Administration.

Gary loved to fish and spent most of his time doing so until his illness forced him to stop even that activity.

He was a member of the American Legion in Lebanon, NH where he was a former officer.

Gary was predeceased by a step brother, Gordon Spaulding.

He is survived by two brothers, Sidney S. Morse of Claremont, NH and Wayne F. Morse of Ascutney, VT., also several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Vermont Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Randolph Center, VT.
