White River Jct., VT – Gail Daggett Perry, 82, born August 10, 1930 and died peacefully at home September 18, 2012.
Long time resident of the Upper Valley, Gail lived loved her family, animals and all things green and growing. She grew a summer rainbow of color in her garden and gardens of others who lacked the time and energies to grow their own.
An excellent cook, she baked her own bread, fed a family of eight and practiced organic gardening years before organic produced was trendy.
Her love and understanding of animals fostered a private petting zoo of cats, dogs, donkeys and chickens. The care and communing with her animals brought her untold joy.
Gail is survived by daughters, Pamela Perry of Phoenix AZ, Kristyn DeLuca of White River Jct., VT, Lyndell Perry of Rutland, VT, sons, Stephen Perry of DeKalb, IL, David Perry of Brattleboro, VT, grandsons Robert Perry-Walker of Rutland, VT and William Perry of Brattleboro, VT. She was predeceased by a son Clinton Perry.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lucy Mac Kenzie Humane Society, P.O. Box 343, Woodstock, VT 05091 in recognition of her commitment to pets everywhere.
A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday September 26, 2012 from 3PM – 6PM at the home of Brenda and Phil Materson, 2028 Christian Street, White River Jct., VT Join us to celebrate and remember Gail's life in the Upper Valley.
