Obituary

G. Charles "Charlie" Schultz died Thursday, October 25, 2012at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH from heart failure after a long struggle with heart disease.

Charlie was born January 5, 1933 in Blakeslee, PA the only child of Carl and Pearl (Henning) Schultz. He attended and graduated from the Blakeslee Schools. He was immediately drafted into the army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was married Carolyn Carter Oct. 20, 1962. They moved to Quechee, VT in 1976. Mrs. Schultz died January 13, 1989. Later that year Charlie married Evelyn Small on August 19, 1989. They have made their home at Windsor Hollow in White River Jct., for the past few years. He had a long and very successful career as a steel salesman traveling throughout Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. He retired from Cohoan Steel Company in 2003.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, taking long rides looking at the scenery, playing cards and doing puzzles. Most of all he loved hanging out with his family and friends, swapping stories and sharing memories.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife Evelyn M.Schultz of White River Jct., VT, a daughter, Elizabeth Arruda of Windsor, VT, two step daughters, Patty Demers of Enfield, NH, Mary Mosteller of Casper, WY, two step sons, Thomas Hamel of Canaan, NH, Edward Crease of Newport, NH, twenty grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Friends may call Sunday evening, October 28, from 6-8PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday morning, October 29, at 10AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in White River Jct., VT. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Woodstock, VT with full military honor.
