Freida R. Stammers

Hartland, VT – Freida R. Stammers, 78, died Monday March 28th at Brookside Nursing Home in White River Jct., VT.

Freida was born July 4, 1932 in Windsor, VT the daughter of Edward and Wilhelmenia Reynolds and graduated from Windsor High School Class of 1950. She worked as a secretary at the Daily Eagle in Claremont, NH and later at the P&C warehouse in White River Jct.

She enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, BINGO, going to the casino and trips to the beach in Salisbury, MA and especially enjoyed attending her grandkids sporting events.

Frieda was a past member of the American Legion Auxiliary Windsor.

She is survived by her longtime companion, Erwin Brown of Hartland; three children, Brian Stammers and his wife Penny of Cornish Flat, NH, Kevin Hammond and his wife Marybeth of Hartland and Debbie Macia and her husband Kevin of Claremont; eight grandchildren Tausha Shute and husband Mark, Crystal Thibodeau and husband Aaron, Sharon Stammers, Shannon Stammers, Heather Macia, Bethany Hammond, Scott Hammond and Tyler Hammond; four great grandchildren Cameron Macia, Aaralyn Connolly, Skylar Thibodeau and Lilly Williams and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother Thomas Reynolds.

Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT Thursday from 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday April 1st at 11AM.
