Ascutney, VT - Francis Xavier "Buster" Legace Jr., 64, died Saturday November 27th surrounded by his loved ones at the Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont, NH.
He was born November 7, 1946 in Windsor, VT a son of Francis and Velma "Peggy" (Pond) Legace. Buster graduated from Windsor High School and was later married to Nancy Craig on July 27, 1968 in Windsor. He worked at the Joy Foundry in Claremont and more recently at Timken Aerospace in Lebanon, NH.
Buster enjoyed keeping busy, tinkering on projects of all types. As a true Vermonter he hated to see waste and liked to create whatever he needed from what was at hand. He also enjoyed hunting but most of all spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his parents and a sister Vera Mitchell.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, of forty two years of Ascutney, VT, a daughter Kristy Snow and her husband Jason of Springfield, VT; his grandson Wyatt Xavier Snow; two brothers, Joseph Legace and his wife Mary of Enfield, NH and George Legace and his wife Pam of South Londonderry, VT; his best friend Gary Beauman of Claremont, NH; Pixie Peron of Avondale, AZ who was brought up as a sister, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor, VT Tuesday from 6-8PM. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 1PM followed by burial in the St. Francis Cemetery in Windsor with a reception following.
