WINDSOR, VT
Frances "Ann" Jenzen, 90, a former longtime resident of Tonawanda, NY passed away Monday morning, January 17, at the Cedar Hill Healthcare Center in Windsor where she has resided since April of 2008.
She was born December 3, 1920 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of Xavier and Ida (Zimmerman) Merkle. She received her schooling in Tonawanda, NY and graduated from Tonawanda High School in 1939. She married William J. Jenzen on June 21, 1947 in Tonawanda where they resided until 1995 when Mr. Jenzen passed away. Ann moved to Biloxi, Mississippi and later to Houston, Texas in 1999. She moved to Windsor in April of 2008.
She was a member of the Tonawanda Ladies Club. She enjoyed bowling, and arts and crafts.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine Merkle and Jeanette Madole, and one brother, Frank Merkle.
Survivors include four sons, Robert J. Jenzen of San Antonio, TX, Thomas J. Jenzen of Portland, OR, Jack D. Jenzen of Houston, TX and Michael J. Jenzen of Springfield, VT, three grandchildren, Leah Jenzen, Jennina Jenzen and Joseph Jenzen, one sister, Mary Reid of Tonawanda, NY, many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the convenience of her family at the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Tonawanda, NY at a later date.
The Knight Funeral Home in Windsor assisted with the arrangements.
