West Lebanon , NH – Frances "Lindy" Hatch, 91, died Thursday May 26th at Genesis Eldercare in Lebanon , NH .
She was born December 23, 1919 in Estevan , Saskatchewan a daughter of Emil R. and Ida (Erikson) Lindgren. Lindy grew up in Estevan and later moved to Seattle , WA where she graduated from high school. She received her nurse's training at Emanuel Hospital in Portland , OR and served as a flight nurse in the US Army Nurse Corps during World War II. She was married to Maurice "Loring" Hatch August 17, 1945 in Romulus , MI and they later moved to Needham , MA . Mrs. Hatch worked as a Registered Nurse at Glover Hospital in Needham and then at Newton-Wellesley in Newton , MA . They moved to Dover , MA in 1967, where they lived until retiring to Yarmouth Port , MA in 1978. Mrs. Hatch has lived in the Upper Valley since 2001.
Lindy loved gardening, arranging flowers, reading, sewing, making lampshades and painting as well as making her world famous apple pies.
Mrs. Hatch is predeceased by her husband M. Loring Hatch; four brothers C. Milford, Theodore, Clarence and Lloyd Lindgren and four sisters Gladyce Peterson, Elsie Green, Flossie Mather and Ruby Boyer and a son-in-law, Allen V. Seilheimer.
She is survived by two daughters Elaine Hatch of West Lebanon, NH and Sandra Seilheimer of New Auburn, WI; two grandsons Jacob Seilheimer of Brighton, MA and Titus Seilheimer, his wife Amy Fettes and their sons Tor B. and Leif D. Seilheimer of St. Paul, MN and a sister Florence Jones of Ontario, Canada.
A memorial service will be held at the West Lebanon Congregational church Tuesday, June 7 at 11AM.
