Wilder, Vermont- Fay E. Dean, 79, died suddenly June 28, 2011 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
She was born July 12, 1931 in Hanover, NH the daughter of Andrew and Armosa (Dutille) Fisher. Fay grew up and lived all her life in Wilder. She graduated from Hartford High School Class of 1950 and was married to Richard Dean September 3, 1951 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in White River Jct. She worked at Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital in Hanover, NH as an X-Ray technician until she began her family. When the children were in school she returned to Mary Hitchcock as a clerk in the clinic business office until her retirement in 1994. Mr. Dean died June 18, 1994.
Fay was a lifetime parishioner of St. Anthony's Church, where she was active in many church functions including the Christmas Bazaars. She and Richard were members of the Twin State Squares and spent many Saturday nights dancing until the early hours of the morning. Fay's true passion was her family she especially enjoyed family gatherings, grandchildren's concerts and sporting events.
Fay is survived by a daughter Andrea Raymond and husband Terry of White River Junction; a son Vance Dean and wife Emma of Southington, CT; four granddaughters, Jessica Raymond of Port Townsend, WA, Sara Raymond of White River Junction, Micaila and Laurel Dean of Southington, Ct and a great-granddaughter, Samantha Dunbar of White River Junction.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, June 30th from 6-8PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10AM at St. Anthony's Church with burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery also in White River Junction.
