WINDSOR, VT
Everett A. Penn, 42, a resident of Windsor, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 31 at his home in Windsor.
He was born April 22, 1971 in Lebanon, NH the son of Ray W. and Linda (Burch) Penn. He received his schooling in Windsor and graduated from Windsor High School in 1989. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Persian Gulf during Operation Dessert Storm. Following his honorable discharge in May of 1993 he returned to Windsor. He attended Johnson State College and graduated from New Hampshire Technical College in Claremont. Everett was employed as an electrician and most recently worked as a home health care provider in Claremont until becoming disabled.
He loved photography and music and was an avid guitar player. He enjoyed doing models and was a member of the American Modelers Association. He also was fond of flying model helicopters. He enjoyed spending time with his family at picnics and during the holidays and greatly loved spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his parents, Ray and Linda Penn of Windsor, three brothers, Ray Penn, Jr. of Windsor, Christopher Penn of Windsor, and Capt. Timothy Penn and his wife Mi Young of Fort Polk, LA, two sisters, Dawn Hulsart and her husband, Robert of Wilbraham, MA and Angela Mullins and her husband, Wade of Reading, VT, his maternal grandmother, Bernadette Burch of Ascutney, VT, his longtime best friend, Regina LaBounty of Unity, NH, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor on Monday evening, June 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 11 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Committal services with military honors will be held Wednesday, June 12 at the Vermont Veterans Cemetery in Randolph Center, VT. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project at 1120 G Street, Washington, DC 20005.
