Evelyn Reeves, 87, died Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington, VT.

She was born February 8, 1925, in Grantham, NH, the daughter of Fred L. and Josephine (Spaulding) Currier.

Evelyn attended the Grantham schools. She was later married to George Reeves July 3, 1954 in White River Junction where they lived until 1971 when they moved to Wilder. Evelyn was well known as a waitress at the Hotel Coolidge for over 40 years retiring multiple times.

She was active in the Girl Scouts of America when her daughter was younger, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Hartford Emblem Club all in White River Junction. Evelyn enjoyed spending time socializing with people, Playing Bingo, knitting, working in her flower garden. Most of all she loved to spend time and travel with her daughter.

She is predeceased by her husband George Reeves.

She is survived by her daughter Darlene Hamilton of Wilder, a brother Floyd "Froggy" Currier of Claremont, NH; a sister Shirley Jennings of Goshen, NH and several nieces and nephews

A visitation will be held Friday, October 5th from 6-8PM at the Knight Funeral Home in White River Junction. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11AM at the Funeral Home.
