HARTLAND, VT

Evelyn B. Harlow, 82, a former resident of Hartland and Windsor, passed away Monday afternoon, December 3, at the Elmwood Center in Claremont, NH.

She was born July 22, 1936 in Weybridge, VT the daughter of Hubert and Nora (Austin) Blaise. She received her schooling in Weybridge and Middlebury and attended Middlebury High School. She married Leigh R. Harlow in Weybridge on October 15, 1966. She was a loving mother and wife and enjoyed raising her family. She and her husband owned and operated the family farm in Brownsville for many years. Evelyn was fond of crocheting and doing word search puzzles and was an accomplished cook and piano player. She also enjoyed playing "Rummy" with her children and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her husband passed away on January 28, 2015.

She was also predeceased by her parents, one brother, Herbert Blaise and by one grandson, Neal Shute in 2017.

Survivors include two daughters, Robin Shute and her husband, Robert of Hartland, and Lori Rawson and her husband, Tim of Windham, VT, two sons, Randall Blaise and his wife, Suzanne of Windsor and Dale Harlow and his wife, Lisa of Newark, VT, two brothers, Larry Blaise of Leland, NC, and Rodney Blaise of Sebring, FL, one sister, Laura Gray of Brownfield, ME, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter, Evelyn, her namesake, and many nieces and nephews.

At her request a graveside service will be held in the Spring in the Hartland Village Cemetery in Hartland.
