Wilder, VT – Estelle F. Charles, 90, died peacefully on Sunday morning, September 23, 2018 at Valley Terrace in Wilder, VT.

She was born July 1, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY a daughter of Benjamin and May (Firestone) Charles.  Estelle grew up in Brooklyn before moving to Manhattan's West Side in 1957 where she watched the neighborhood change around her over the next sixty years.  Estelle earned her PhD and had her own psychotherapy practice on the West Side. She moved to the Upper Valley in 2015 to be nearer to her niece, Patricia Kuit Hill, as her health began to fail.

Estelle loved the city and all it had to offer, especially the arts and museums.  She enjoyed walking around the city and only owned a car for a short time.

She remained close to her family and could always be counted upon for great, honest advice whether it was what you wanted to hear or not.

She was predeceased by her four sisters Renee, Myrna, Hannah and Irene and leaves several nieces nephews and great nieces and nephews including Sean Kuit of Enfield, NH and Dustin Hill of West Fairlee, VT.

Knight Funeral Home in White River Jct., VT was entrusted with arrangements.  No services are planned at this time.
