IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ervin Edward
Needham
May 4, 1949 – August 21, 2025
Ervin Edward "Buster" Needham, 76 of South Stafford, passed away on August 21, 2025, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.
Born on May 4, 1949, to Melvin Edward and Maude Abigail Russell Whitaker Needham.
He was predeceased by his wife Wanda and a large family of siblings (8). Survivors include his four children and 12 grandchildren.
He graduated Lamoille Union High School in 1968, and enlisted in the US Army where he served and went to Aircraft school to become an aircraft mechanic. Buster worked hard no matter the job, be it, installing in-ground swimming pools, well drilling in the dead of winter, or carpentry and glass work at Dartmouth College where he retired. When he was a younger man he liked to ski and passed on his love for hunting and fishing to his children and grandchildren, as well as many others. He spent countless hours tending to his vegetable garden and just as many during the canning and preserving process. He loved exploring new and unexpected flavors with his cooking. There was always more than enough, and he would always make sure everyone had gotten a plate to eat before he made one himself. He was a self-made man who could do anything. He will be greatly missed.
A gathering for family and friends will be planned at a later date.
